I have been looking for ways to add the Bible into our Letter of the Week Montessori-inspired tot-school for this year. If you are looking for something to go along with your letter of the week theme, then today's free printable will be a great help.

Letter of the Week Bible Verses for Kids

I took each letter of the alphabet and assigned a word from the Bible to it. Then I looked for a corresponding Bible verse that your child can either read with you, memorize, or just listen. You can definitely use this with all ages and adapt it for each child.

We use the New King James Version so if you have a different version and find the Bible verses do not go along with that version's use of the word, you can definitely substitute verses. I used our Strong's concordance to find all the verses I used for this printable. If you have an older child, you could put them in charge of finding the verses for you.

In the printable, I do not have each verse written out, but I will list them all below here so you know which ones are included:

A. Abundant – 1 Peter 1:3

“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His abundant mercy has begotten us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.”

B. Beautiful – Romans 10:15

And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, Who bring glad tidings of good things!”

C. Confess – 1 John 1:9

“If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

D. Delight – Psalm 37:4

“Delight yourself also in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.”

E. Everlasting – Psalm 100:5

“For the Lord is good; His mercy is everlasting, And His truth endures to all generations.”

F. Face – Revelation 22:4

“They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads.”

G. Gate – Revelation 22:14

“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”

H. Hand – Matthew 10:7

“And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’”

I. Impossible – Luke 1:37

“For with God nothing will be impossible.”

J. Just – Romans 1:17

“For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, ‘The just shall live by faith.'”

K. Kingdom – Matthew 24:14

“And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

L. Light – Genesis 1:3

“Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.”

M. Mouth – Psalm 19:14

“Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.”

N. Name – Psalm 124:8

“Our help is in the name of the Lord, Who made heaven and earth.”

O. Oil – Psalm 23:5

“You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You anoint my head with oil; My cup runs over.”

P. Pasture – Psalm 95:7

“For He is our God, And we are the people of His pasture, And the sheep of His hand.”

Q. Quickly – Revelation 22:7

“Behold, I am coming quickly! Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.”

R. Remember – Exodus 20:8

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.”

S. Sabbath – Exodus 20:11

“For in six days, the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.”

T. Temptation – James 1:2

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.”

**Note King James Version used for this verse. NKJV uses “trials” so you could substitute that word for Temptation.

U. Understand – Proverbs 28:5

“…but they that seek the Lord understand all things.”

V. Valley – Isaiah 40:4

“Every valley shall be exalted, and every mountain and hill shall be made low: and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places plain.”

W. Words – Proverbs 15:1

“A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger.”

X. EXalted – Psalm 18:46

“The Lord lives! Blessed be my Rock! Let the God of my salvation be exalted.”

Y. Youth – 1 Timothy 4:12

“Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit,[a] in faith, in purity.”

Z. Zion – Psalm 48:1-2

“Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised In the city of our God, In His holy mountain. Beautiful in elevation, The joy of the whole earth, Is Mount Zion on the sides of the north, The city of the great King.”

  1. Love this! I work in a public school so I wouldn’t be able to use this with my students…but I love the concept and it’s so nice to see other OTs who share my faith 🙂
